Alabama put forth one of the worst performance of the Nick Saban era against Clemson in the national championship game on Monday night, and somehow, the halftime performance by Imagine Dragons and Lil Wayne was even worth.
On paper, that pairing didn’t really make all that much sense. Lil Wayne seems to believe he’s so transformative and can adapt to perform with any other band, but let’s be honest, that just isn’t the case. That was on display during Monday’s awful halftime show.
It started with the outfits, which were…odd.
Who wore it better?
Lil Wayne or ET? Let us know! 🧥🎩 pic.twitter.com/BojjxrDKtu

The performance itself wasn’t any better. It was really just a bunch of noise.

Twitter had a field day with reactions as well.
I wonder how much Imagine Dragons is getting paid for this CFP halftime performance… #amateurs
