Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman is tired of hearing about Dez Bryant’s trash talk.
Bryant made a show of the rivalry with Norman after a Thanksgiving game in which the two needed to be separated after the game. Bryant later took to Twitter to troll Norman, which has received plenty of run in the media.
Now it is Norman’s turn.
Norman spoke with NFL Network about the situation:
It just baffles me that we’re going back and forth. I don’t know if there really is anything to say. What am I going to go back and forth for? It’s not a battle. It’s not a competition when the other person don’t show up. What am I competing against? I compete against myself every week.
He was far from finished. Long story short, Norman went on to say he has a tougher time with a guy like Odell Beckham Jr.:
It’s not like with the guy from up in N.Y.
If you have a big impact, go off. But you didn’t.
Statistically, Norman has a point—Bryant didn’t have a huge game by any means. As one can see from the Twitter notes, Bryant is showing off film in which he says he won route battles against Norman.
Both guys probably have a point. Here’s to hoping the two meet again soon.
