Oakland Raiders defensive end Khalil Mack invoked the power of former teammate Charles Woodson during his stat-stuffing dominance of the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
According to ESPN Stats and Information, Mack became the first player since Woodson in 2009 to record a sack, interception, forced fumble, fumble recovery and defensive touchdown in the same game.

Mack was a one-man wrecking ball against the Panthers. His pick-six of Cam Newton gave the Raiders a 24-7 lead going into half time, and his strip sack and fumble recovery on fourth down ended the game late in the fourth quarter.
Woodson pulled off a similar same stat line during a Green Bay Packers win in November of 2009.
“That’s great company right there,” Mack said, via Paul Gutierrez of ESPN. “C-Wood, that’s big bro. We talk all the time. He tells me, ‘It’s time for you to take over games.’ Fortunately, I was in a position to do a little bit of that today.”
The Raiders are now 9-2 and in great shape to get a first-round bye in the AFC playoffs.
Mack continues to be a big part of Oakland’s resurgence.
After starting his season with just one sack in the first five games, Mack has tallied at least one sack in six straight contests. He has eight over the six-game span, giving him nine sacks for the season.
His pick-six of Newton was his first interception and touchdown of his NFL career.
