Alabama may have dominated the Capital One Orange Bowl from start to finish, but it’s important never to overlook Oklahoma’s Heisman Trophy winning quarterback, Kyle Murray.
Murray’s mobility allows him to extend plays, and his strong arm produces big plays with ease. He can move around in the pocket, and when his receivers get open, he tends to find them for big gains. Alabama, however, did a good job covering Oklahoma’s weapons on offense, which made Murray’s job extremely difficult in Saturday’s game.
He did have one ridiculous throw in the second half of the game, when he sensed the pressure and immediately rolled right, then kept his legs churning and heaved an absolute dime downfield to Sooners wide receiver Charleston Rambo for the 49-yard touchdown.

That was clearly the throw of the game. What a pass by Murray.
