In a game that claimed Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green, the Buffalo Bills wound up losing running back LeSean McCoy.
McCoy only rushed five times for 33 yards with a score before leaving with the issue, a thumb injury likely preventing him from holding the ball properly.
ESPN’s Field Yates announced Shady’s official status:
LeSean McCoy (thumb) is officially OUT for the rest of the game.

The Bills are making a playoff push, and with the Patriots having all but locked up the division, they’ll need McCoy out there to compete for a Wild Card berth.
Lucky for them, they get the Jaguars at home next week, so McCoy can take a week to recover from the injury if needed, and then return for a tough matchup in Oakland.
