The Indianapolis Colts might not have Andrew Luck under center on Thanksgiving night.
With Luck in concussion protocol and Thursday night’s game presenting the unfortunate limits of a short week, the Colts are reportedly preparing for backup quarterback Scott Tolzien to start against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

According to ESPN’s Mike Wells, Luck and defensive end Clayton Geathers both experienced symptoms following the Colts’ win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
“Well after we were all done with the locker room, both guys didn’t feel right and went in the training room, and both were evaluated for concussions. Both are in the protocol,” Colts head coach Chuck Pagano said.
Tolzien, who signed a two-year deal to be Luck’s backup in March, would start if Luck isn’t cleared by Thursday.
An undrafted free agent from Wisconsin, Tolzien made two starts and three appearances for the Green Bay Packers in 2013. He has completed 56 of 91 passes for 721 yards, five touchdowns and four interceptions during his NFL career.
The Colts are currently in second place in the AFC South after improving to 5-5 with a win over the Titans in Week 11.
