If Eddie Lacy played baseball and the number on the scale was his batting average, it wouldn’t be such a bad thing since it’s trending upward.
But according to ESPN, Lacy is back up to between 255 and 265 pounds. That’s the weight he lugged around last season when he rushed for just 758 yards.
Lacy’s scouting combine weight was 231 pounds, and he supposedly trimmed down during the offseason. He’s run for 360 yards at a 5.1-yard-per-carry clip. But he’s been nursing a sore ankle and won’t play Thursday night when the Packers host the Bears.
If Lacy can’t keep his weight down, he might not have too many years left in him.
Then again, since the Packers don’t play on Thanksgiving this year Lacy could just be auditioning to be a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade float.
Or he could have his own parade and call it the Lacy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
