Clemson destroyed Notre Dame 30-3 in the College Football Playoff semifinal at AT&T Stadium on Saturday, in a game that was never close.
The Tigers outgained the Fighting Irish in yards, 538-248. They racked up 26 first downs, and 211 rushing yards. Most importantly, though, they won on third down — going 9-for-18, while the Irish only went 5-for-17.
It was an extremely impressive performance by the defensive, even without star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence, who was suspended, as he tested positive for trace amounts of ostarine, an illegal muscle-growth supplement. Still, the defense didn’t miss a beat.
They celebrated on the field after the game while hoisting the Cotton Bowl trophy, as confetti fell from the rafters. TSD’s Kendrick E. Johnson was there for the festivities, and he posted a video of the action, which you can watch below.
