The Raiders emerged victorious in a 27-20 thriller against the Texans in Mexico City on Monday night, and there’s a lot to be excited about if you root for Oakland.
Even though they were outplayed during the majority of the first and third quarters, the Raiders played their best football in the fourth quarter, and that was the difference in the game.
After being on the field for well over 30 minutes, the defense came up with a huge stop on fourth-and-inches, and Amari Cooper delivered the game-winning touchdown from 35 yards out on a quick screen.
Head coach Jack Del Rio spoke to the team in the locker room after the big win, and understandably, both he and the players were pretty pumped.
“We all know that we can play better than that … but guess what, we’re 8-2 right now!”
“Guess what? We’re 8-2 right now boys.”

Del Rio continues to take calculated in-game risks—like going for it on fourth down in the game’s final seconds—and it’s been working. The Raiders are now 6-0 in games not played in Oakland, and that’s pretty impressive.
