Based on a new report, the Dallas Cowboys won’t get a boost in the pass-rushing department with the return of Randy Gregory.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Friday that the embattled defender has failed another drug test.
Gregory was already serving a suspension for violating the league’s wellness policy:
#Cowboys DE Randy Gregory can appeal his looming banishment & suspension. Per @NFL: “The league has not been notified of any new violations”

It’s wild the news about a possible violation has made the rounds before the NFL can receive the news and announce it. Alas, the timing of this couldn’t be worse for Gregory, provided the report proves true.
For the Cowboys, the defense can carry on as usual even without Gregory’s return. The unit has played like one of the best in the league so far, though a little extra help getting after quarterbacks couldn’t hurt.
For Gregory, this is terrible news and a setback regardless of circumstances. Here’s to hoping he can overcome the potential problems that have him in current hot water.
