Cleveland Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer might need to get a new hobby.
According to Cleveland.com’s Zack Meisel, Indians President of Baseball Operations Chris Antonetti confirmed to WTAM 1100 On Friday that Bauer lacerated his pinky Thursday night while working on one of his drones. Bauer’s pinky required stitches and he will not be able to start Game 2 of the ALCS against the Toronto Blue Jays as planned. Instead, Bauer will be pushed back to Game 3 in Toronto on Monday and Josh Tomlin will start Game 2 on Saturday.
For those who don’t know, Bauer designs and builds his own drones. Earlier this year, he got a drone stuck up a tree in a Kansas City park and members of the Royals clubhouse staff helped him get it down. In 2015, MLB banned Bauer from flying his drone over the Indians spring-training facility.
Bauer might want to take up remote-controlled cars instead and avoid the razor-sharp propellers on drones.
