Someone needs to let Panthers rookie running back Christian McCaffrey know that he needs to take it easy on his teammates, and save the sick moves for the regular season.
The eighth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft has already been showing up in flashes during training camp, and Wednesday’s practice was no different.
McCaffrey was simulating coming out of the backfield and getting open for a pass during one particular drill, and was covered by All-Pro linebacker Luke Kuechly.
And yeah, it’s safe to say the rookie won this round, as he juked Kuechly out of his shoes.

It’s not the first time this has happened, either.

McCaffrey is going to develop into a special player, and the Stanford product will be fun to watch for years to come.
