Timberwolves guard Derrick Rose was once named league MVP in back in 2011, as a member of the Bulls, and fans in Chicago clearly have not forgotten about it.
Rose was the youngest player to ever win the NBA MVP Award, and his 2011 campaign was a magical one. Unfortunately, injuries derailed the rest of his tenure in Chicago, and he was never the player he once was. But he’s worked hard, has repurposed himself and has become a very effective player with the Timberwolves.
And Bulls fans showed him plenty of love in his return to Chicago during Wednesday’s game at United Center. Check out these “MVP” chants he drew while attempting a pair of free throws.
"MVP!"
"MVP!"
"MVP!"
"MVP!"
"MVP!"
"MVP!"
"MVP!"
"MVP!"
"MVP!"
