It only took two-and-a-half years, but Joel Embiid made his rookie debut on Tuesday night against the Thunder, and he was impressive.
Embiid scored 20 points and hauled in seven rebounds in the loss, and he got plenty of love from the fans.
They even busted out the “MVP” chants at one point in the third quarter when the big man was shooting free throws.

It was cool to see Sixers fans to stand behind their guy, even for having been injured as long as the former first-overall-pick has been.
