Coming off a race at 2.66-mile Talladega Superspeedway that featured 57 lead changes and a dramatic overtime crash, NASCAR Cup Series drivers will have less track space to work with Sunday, but there’s a reason Dover Motor Speedway is nicknamed “The Monster Mile.”
The Würth 400 could prove to be just as crazy.
It’s curious that co-owner/part-time driver Jimmie Johnson didn‘t handpick this concrete track as one he would come back to compete at. Johnson owns the Cup record with 11 wins. At Dover, Johnson proved to be a monster.
