Texans players disappointed in fans who left early

Wild Card Round - Kansas City Chiefs v Houston Texans

Vince Wilfork and the Texans looked like they were ready to have a fork stuck in them Sunday night, because they looked done.

The Texans trailed the Colts 23-9 with seven minutes left, and fans started leaving early.

But Brock Osweiler threw two touchdown passes in the final two and a half minutes, and the Texans won 26-23 on Nick Novak’s 33-yard field goal in overtime.

“I hope their brisket turned out OK,” Wilfork said of the fans who left early, according to NFL.com. “They had to go home and check it.”

The Texans (4-2) remained atop the AFC South with the win while the Colts (2-4) dropped to last place in the division.

“It kind of sucks to be one of those fans, because when we come back and we win the game it sucks on your part because it shows your true colors.” Texans defensive back Charles James said.

Considering this was an AFC South game, the most surprising thing about fans leaving early is that in order to get up and leave, you have to be awake.
