Maybe Von Miller should be allowed to wear a Santa Claus hat on top of his Broncos helmet, because he sent a Christmas gift to every player in the AFC West, including those on practice squads and injured reserve.
That gift was a bottle of custom wine, according to The Denver Post. The brand, called The Setting, was created by Boulder, Colo. native Jesse Katz. With the wine Miller included a message that begins:
It is an honor and a privilege to take the field and compete with you twice a year. We are so fortunate to have this opportunity to fulfill our childhood dreams of playing in the NFL.
Miller is the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL, according to Spotrac. So he can afford such a magnanimous gesture.
So far, there have been no reports of a fake snake popping out of any of the bottles that went to the Raiders, Chargers or Chiefs.
