It’s been a disappointing season for both the Falcons and Packers, and that appeared to take a toll on the two teams in Sunday’s matchup at Lambeau Field.
The Packers had a lot to prove, given that it was their first game without Mike McCarthy coaching the team since he took over in 2006, and they played like it.
Green Bay also sent a message to Atlanta by protecting quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Falcons put a helmet-to-helmet hit on Rodgers after he slid to end a play he took off running on, and the Packers players took exception to it, with this brief fight breaking out as a result.
