Jon Jones failed drug test before UFC 214 win, may never fight at that level again

It finally looked like Jon Jones had both his life and UFC career turned around, but we’ve now learned that is not the case.

Jones reportedly tested positive for Turinabol, an anabolic steroid, according to TMZ Sports. He will now undergo a disciplinary process, and could have his title stripped. Remember, Jones defeated Daniel Cormier on July 29 to win the light heavyweight belt, but the fight could now be ruled “no contest” with the title going back to DC.

And to be honest, DC kind of deserves it, as he got screwed here. It was a cowardly move by Jones, and almost seems like he didn’t have the confidence to fight Cormier without juicing.

Jones was already hit with a one-year ban in 2016, and now could be facing up to four years, which would put his UFC career in serious jeopardy.

Given how everything has unfolded, it’s unlikely that Jones will be able to blame this one on male enhancement pills. And we’re leaning toward never seeing Jones in the Octagon again.

But hey, maybe he and Brock Lesnar can square off in the WWE one day, or something.
