As first reported by Ariel Helwani (no shock there), the rematch between Luke Rockhold and Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza, scheduled to headline a UFC Fight Night next month in Australia, has been cancelled. Rockhold has reportedly suffered a knee injury in training, scrapping the bout.
Jacare’s manager told Helwani that the only replacement fight his fighter would accept would be one with current UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping. But that apparently isn’t in the cards (at least not for Australia), as it appears like Souza has been removed from the event.
The new main event for the November 27th card (for the time being at least) is a middleweight fight between Robert Whittaker and Derek Brunson.
