WATCH: Scott Brooks gets standing ovation in return to OKC

Scott Brooks spent the first eight years of his head coaching career in Oklahoma City, and Thunder fans clearly haven’t forgotten about it.

Brooks began coaching the team in 2008 when they were, well, terrible, but led them to a NBA Finals appearance and numerous playoff appearances.

With the Wizards squaring off against the Thunder on Wednesday night, Brooks returned to Oklahoma City for the game. He was greeted by a warm ovation from Thunder fans before the matchup, and seemed to be taken back by the great gesture.
