Conor McGregor is one of the most popular sports celebrities in the world right now, so it makes sense for him to appear on one of the most popular TV shows.
McGregor is set to make an appearance on one of the final two seasons of “Game of Thrones,” according to BelfastLive.
HBO apparently reached out to the star UFC fighter, who hails from Dublin.
“He was headhunted as it were by HBO, as one of the Game of Thrones directors is a huge UFC fan. They believed that he would be a perfect fit for the show.”
It’s unclear what type of role McGregor would play, but it certainly makes sense to have him make a cameo, being that the show is filmed in Belfast.
