Top-10 Viewing Options: A man whose baseball team is playing Plinko with the face of their franchise attempts to watch something, anything, to distract him besides Diazepam labels.
1. Glory 36: Including the Superfight Series, best card of the day, AND, on a dead Saturday afternoon in college football, no less! Still, have Army-Navy on some device, it’s good for you.
2. UFC 206: Cormier-Johnson would have put this into #1, but interim titles bring about a fury in me usually reserved for the PA Turnpike and Amy Schumer.
3. Glory: Collision: This is a two-fight card, but holy shit, what a couple of fights they are.
4. Submission Underground 2: It’s Jon motherfucking Jones against Dan goddamned Henderson. The fight we never got in the UFC. Plus, it’ll be good to see Miesha again.
5. Jermall Charlo vs. Julian Williams/Jesus Andres Cuellar vs. Abner Mares: Best boxing card of the weekend, quality card because HBO didn’t bother to dress up their Crawford card with anything.
6. John Molina Jr. vs. Terence Crawford/Mason Menard vs. Raymundo Beltran: This isn’t the way to increase Bud’s profile. Not with that opponent and not with this card.
7. Anthony Joshua vs. Eric Molina/Luis Concepcion vs. Khalid Yafai: Love a good afternoon, televised, British card. Again, perfect Saturday for it. So much Saturday afternoon fights.
8. UFC Fight Night: Abdurakhimov vs. Lewis: An absolutely abysmal card up top, it evens out a little you work down the card, but holy shit are they just shoveling shit at Albany because they know they’ll eat it.
9. UFC’s Road to the Octagon: VanZant vs. Waterson: Two of my favorite fighters of any gender, so happy they’re getting to headline a card and they have enough personality to make the hype interesting.
10. Bellator 168: Just an abhorrent card.
Outside the Tube: Fighters you know or should know that won’t be appearing on your magic television box over the weekend.
