They say it's our fave phan poster and gatekeeper G.K. Brizer's birthday today… it's Kate Upton's birthday, too.
Bri's fifty-something… Kate's twenty-something. Happy Birthday to you two!!!
Kate just scored the "Back Cover" of Sports Illustrated's 50th Anniversary swimsuit edition. She also performed a "zero-gravity editorial" feature for SI. Likewise, Brizer has been floating in zero-gravity space around here for weeks. 'Tis a puzzlement. This column is not the same without him.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Kempski (now gainfully employed by Philly.com) was busy blowing minds around town with a controversial 7-Round pre-Combine Mock Draft for the Eagles.
Kempski went ga-ga over Lamarcus Joyner, a 5-8, 190 lb. safety/CB out of Florida State, as his first round pick.
Joyner is talented and he is tough. But first round pick? I'm not convinced.
Kempski picked Jarvis Landry, WR, 6-0, 195, LSU, in the 2nd round.
Landry was the "other" receiver alongside teammate Odell Beckham this past year.
Landry would qualify for JB-Sage-Lion's "slot receiver" competition story idea for the Eagles. But a 2nd round pick? Again, I am puzzled…
Kempski's 3rd round pick was inside linebacker Jordan Zumwalt (6-4, 231) UCLA… Now Zumwalt was the guy who decleated his own teammate in a Senior Bowl practice… not sure I would invest a 3rd-round pick on such a loose cannon.
Jimmy's 4th round pick was Will Clarke, DE, 6-6, 271, out of West Virginia. Now this pick I liked. Clarke seems well suited for the Eagles 3-4 two-gap scheme. He's big, agile, and he's still growing. He can tackle against the run and he can get pressure on the pass. I think he has tremendous upside, and he's a high-character kinda guy.
Crocket Gillmore (6-5, 255), a tight end from Colorado State, is Kempski's 5th round (A) choice. Okay, the guy has had his John Mackey moments with occasional big plays and YAC, but we already have four other TE's on the roster.
Kempski's 5th round (B) choice makes somewhat more sense— it's cornerback Aaron Colvin (5-11, 186) of Oklahoma. Colvin tore his ACL at the 2014 Senior Bowl, otherwise he would have been considered in the first 2 rounds. This would be a young talent you would stockpile for 2015 and beyond—-he's that good.
Finally, Kempski waits until the 7th round (the Eagles have no 6th round pick this year) to select a quarterback— Keith Price (6-1, 202), Washington, who threw 21 TD's against only 6 INT's last season in a pro-style offense. I guess it makes sense to take a developmental flyer on a QB in the 7th since you already have Matt Barkley on the roster. But something about this pick says to me—why bother?
So that's the somewhat surprising Eagles pre-Combine mock draft from Jimmy Kempski. Unlike Kate Upton's SI appearance this week, Kempski's selections may not taste so great, and are definitely less filling. But it's a starting point for many fans to begin thinking in earnest about their own draft wishes for the Eagles.
