Top-10 Viewing Options: Football is back, and thus, a way to fill in the empty air if, say, a Tyron Woodley title fight is on.
1. UFC 215: Dana White’s worst nightmare; Amanda Nunes and Demetrious Johnson on the same card. I’d be shocked if he wasn’t in Dublin with McGregor, instead.
2. Wisaksil Wangek vs. Roman Gonzalez/Naoya Inoue vs. Antonio Nieves: Chocolatito gets his shot at revenge for his first career loss, and Wangek gets a chance to prove it wasn’t a fluke. This is a boxing fan’s card.
3. David Benavidez vs. Ronald Gavril/Alan Campa vs. Caleb Plant: Benavidez gets his shot to go from prospect to champion at long last.
4. Legacy Fighting Alliance 22: I’ll give LFA this, every card isn’t a home run, but damn if they aren’t pumping the shit out of cards since the merge.
5. 24/7: Canelo vs. Golovkin: Just one week left! This is the true superfight of the year, goddammit.
6. Absolute Championship Berkut 69: This isn’t the best ACB card, but goddamn, they’re consistent and free, which is all I ask of a Euro promotion.
7. Fight To Win Pro 46: I don’t need to tell you how much of a F2W mark I am, but this is an absolutely brutal card, even with a break and in Texas.
8. Ian Green vs. Kemahl Russell/Devaun Lee vs. Giovanni Lorenzo: More boxing on TV is always a good thing.
9. 30 For 30: Muhammad And Larry: It’s here a lot, but it’s here for a reason, it’s a fascinating look at end-of-the-line Ali, and the man who had to put his hero out to pasture.
10. MAX Muay Thai: If you’re up and board and waiting for the first Sunday kickoff of the season, watch some muay thai!
Outside the Tube: Fighters you know or should know that won’t be appearing on your magic television box over the weekend.
