The UFC’s return to famed Madison Square Garden this fall is shaping up to be a star-packed affair. With two UFC titles on the line already – Michael Bisping vs Georges St-Pierre for the middleweight strap; Cody Garbrandt vs T.J. Dillashaw for the bantamweight one – the promotion has decided three’s company, not a crowd.
It was announced today that UFC Women’s Strawweight goddess Joanna Jedrzejczyk will defend her title against top challenger Rose Namajunas on the card. Joanna Champion sports a spotless 14-0 record, and has thwarted aspirants to her crown five times since winning it in 2015. Thug Rose, meanwhile, is 6-3 and is on a big one-fight (!!) win streak (but has won four out of her last five), besting Michelle Waterson this past April.
UFC 217 goes down November 4th from New York City.
