Top-10 Viewing Options: A man who’s in the thick of another thoroughly mediocre Notre Dame football season attempts to watch men and women punching and grappling to avoid watching them get stomped by the SEC yet again.

  1. 2017 Abu Dhabi Combat Club World Championships: It’s Abu Dhabi time! The greatest BJJ tournament in the world that only happens every other year is happening this weekend, and holy shit, it’s a who’s who of the best grapplers in the world.

  2. Jorge Linares vs. Luke Campbell/Antonio Orozco vs. Roberto Ortiz: Linares vs. Campbell is a very important, low-key, bout for the WBA Lightweight title. At long last, Linares is a headliner, and Campbell has the pedigree and skill to take it from him.

  3. Gilberto Ramirez vs. Jesse Hart/Genesis Servania vs. Oscar Valdez: ESPN is coming hard late this year, and this is another high-level card they’re bringing. Boxing isn’t dead, it’s thriving in this year of our lord, 2017.

  4. UFC Fight Night: Okami vs. Saint Preux: Sure, it might be more exciting with Shogun, but Okami should have never been let go, so he’s needed.

  5. Bellator 183: A main card even with UFC, but nothing for prelims, while the UFC is actually putting effort into theirs.

  6. Dmitry Kudryashov vs. Yunier Dorticos/Nonito Donaire vs. Ruben Garcia Hernandez: Whether you can get a good stream from the Super Series site is a gamble, but it’s free, and this is a fantastic card.

  7. Hughie Fury vs. Joseph Parker/Jimmy Kelly vs. Stilliyan Kostov: BOY, if they’re going to charge $24.95 for this, I sure would like some decent other bouts with it.

  8. Legacy Fighting Alliance 23: This is a very fun-looking card. Andrea KGB Lee, Derrick Krantz, Sabina Mazo, should be a good time, and OF COURSE when LFA runs a watchable show, it coincides with a UFC card.

  9. Fight To Win Pro 48: Not a banner F2W card, but their consistency is fantastic.

  10. Phoenix Fighting Championship 3: Phoenix is becoming a fun mix of kickboxing, muay thai, and MMA with a lot of solid names. The only downside is that is going off at 1:00pm EST on a Friday, but if you’ve got the day off and an afternoon to kill, hit it.
