Top-10 Viewing Options: A man hoping, along with the rest of the country, to go one entire goddamned, fucking week without yet another national tragedy uses hockey and fights to make it through.
1. UFC 216: Damned nice looking main card, here. At least the three-deep is pretty solid. The ever-rare satisfying UFC PPV card.
2. Bellator 184: And a deep Bellator card, too! Best pure MMA weekend in a while.
3. Bellator Kickboxing 7: Dammit Coker, why can’t we air these live? They’re showing it taped at 11:15 anyway, why not air it live?
4. Avni Yildirim vs. Chris Eubank Jr./Stefan Haertel vs. Viktor Polyakov: The World Boxing Super Series rolls on! …and the IBO world title is on the line…
5. Fight To Win Pro 50: It’s been kind of a thin couple of F2W events lately, but their consistency is damned impressive.
6. Fastest Finishes of 2017: In lieu of live fights, AXS doesn’t let down, instead airing a compilation of some of the quickest knockouts and submissions of the year.
7. 2017 FloSports Who’s #1: Every year, Flo puts on, in my opinion, the best high school wrestling tournament in the nation. Just a mass of future All-Americans and Olympians.
8. Pancrase 290: Takaya vs. Hioki is a hell of a JMMA bout that should be a blast if both just wanna scrap and work a fun ground game.
9. UFC Ultimate Knockouts: Strikeforce Alumni: STRIKEFORCE NEVER DIE!
10. Bleed For This: Miles Teller, whom I believe is currently starring in 73 movies at the time, plays Vinny Paz in his life story and incredible recovery.
Outside the Tube: Fighters you know or should know that won’t be appearing on your magic television box over the weekend.
