4. Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are in a similar situation as the Jets. They have Ezekiel Elliott headlining the backfield, and he is arguably one of the best running backs in the game. While Elliott hasn’t missed any games due to injuries, you don’t want to bank on him staying healthy forever. Especially with the number of miles that the Cowboys put on him in the past.

The drop off from Elliott to their second-stringer, Darius Jackson is quite alarming. The Cowboys have had reliable backups in the past, but they need somebody for 2019, and they need to figure out who fairly quickly. When Johnson was initially placed on the trade block, the Cowboys were making calls. Right now, the Jones’ aren’t contacting the Browns as they have bigger fish to fry. But they could use Duke Johnson, and they should probably consider picking up the phone to see what it would take to get him.
