Antonio Brown to wear Arnold Palmer’s image on his cleats

Wild Card Playoffs - Baltimore Ravens v Pittsburgh Steelers

Antonio Brown spent time at Arnold Palmer’s house in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, before 2016 training camp. The Pittsburgh Steelers receiver will pay tribute to the late golfing legend, who died last week, by wearing Palmer’s image on his cleats for Sunday night’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Brown was fined after Week 1 for wearing blue cleats, and he was forced to change cleats at halftime last weekend when an official told him that he couldn’t continue playing while wearing shoes of the wrong color.

“Every week, I’m going to try to keep some motivation or put a picture of somebody that means the most to me or inspires me to keep me encouraged,” Brown said, via ESPN.com. “I’m definitely going to follow the rules in regards to sticking to the team color.”

“A guy like Arnold, his legacy and what he meant not only to the world, but to Latrobe, to Pennsylvania, his legacy will live on,” Brown said. “An inspiring guy. I’m glad I got a moment to share with him.”

It will be interesting to see if the NFL fines Brown for wearing the cleats.
