Boston Celtics injury report: Horford out, Morris a maybe, Yabu should play

MARCUS MORRIS

The Boston Celtics (sorry, the Hospital Celtics) held a shoot-around this morning prior to tonight’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Before it began, Brad Stevens updated the media on the Celtics injury situation.

Al Horford remains out with his sore knee. While some are seeing the extended absence as a sign of a bigger issue, Stevens stressed this is part of the plan.

“No setbacks, not there yet,” he said.

Marcus Morris went through some shooting drills and was being evaluated, afterwards. Stevens was non-committal about Morris’ status.

“Marcus is going through his workout this morning,” he told reporters. “We’ll make that call after shoot-around.”

To end on some good news, Guerschon Yabusele appears to be ready to play tonight.

“All signs point to him being available,” Stevens said. “He’s worked very hard to get back very quickly, he’s played two on two, three on three the last couple of days, some light stuff yesterday, so we’re anticipating him being available.”

We discussed the injuries, and the overreaction by some people to them, on the latest Locked On Celtics podcast.
