The Cleveland Browns have yet to win a game in nine tries.
While it sounds bad, it actually is worse than most would expect. These Browns keep re-writing record books for all the wrong reasons, in large part thanks to injuries under center and a defense yet to show a pulse.
NFL Network’s Andrew Siciliano provided the latest historic feat out of Cleveland:
Browns have allowed 25+ points in their first 9 games. No NFL team had started a season with a streak like that since the 1964 Broncos.

That one hurts. This includes 29 points to Philadelphia and rookie quarterback Carson Wentz. Iffy quarterbacks such as Joe Flacco, Ryan Tannehill and Kirk Cousins also cruised against the defense. Heck, even Ryan Fitzpatrick looked like an NFL quarterback against the Browns.
Despite this, one Browns player remains adamant his team won’t go 0-16.
It’s hard to agree. Cleveland has scored more than 20 points in a game just three times this year. Unless the historically bad defense manages to break its own record pace, the Browns might make even more history by finishing the season winless.
That’s one way to land a high pick in the draft.
