Conor McGregor is either planning to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. at some point in the future, or he’s just trolling the UFC really hard.
McGregor recently registered to box in California, and that’s sparked many rumors involving a future bout with Mayweather.
However, we can’t forget that McGregor was recently stripped of his featherweight belt by the UFC, which Jose Aldo now has. So maybe McGregor is sending a message to the UFC that he could potentially take his business elsewhere, if he wanted to.
McGregor’s coach, John Kavanagh, certainly wasn’t happy about the title-stripping. saying he was “very disappointed with how they [UFC] went about doing it.” So maybe Conor is just sending a message.
It’s hard to know exactly what McGregor’s motive was here. Good luck getting inside that guy’s head. Only time will tell what he’s planning to do.
