In what has been the biggest hyped game of the week, the Dallas Cowboys will be hosting the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football. The hype is real, and this should be a good game.
Any time you get a divisional game on primetime you’ll get your adrenaline fix.
The Cowboys are 64-50 versus the Eagles all-time.
Jason Garrett is 6-6 versus the Eagles all-time
Here are my keys to victory —
Slow down Fletcher Cox and Brandon Graham
Connor Barwin will be taken out by Tyron Smith who currently owns the best pass blocking grade of 98.7 according to PFF, so that will leave the Eagles with Cox and Graham to get pressure on the QB. Cox will have a long day going against Travis Frederick and Zack Martin or Ron Leary. He’ll have his moments I’m sure, but he’ll be neutralized for most of the game. Where the Eagles may have the best chance of pressure will be with Graham vs Doug Free. Free has notoriously struggled against some of the leagues better pass rushers, and I would expect the same against Graham. Look for the Cowboys to add TE on certain packages to chip Graham.
Contain Jordan Matthews
Matthews is the Eagles best receiver and he likes to get yards from the slot, so expect the Cowboys to do what they have been doing all year long to contain the leagues best receivers thus far — lots of nickel and dime packages, more on the dime though. Matthews will get his catches, but the Cowboys have formulated a way to contain, bend and don’t break. If the Cowboys do this, they’ll be in business defensively. The Cowboys get Orlando Scandrick back as well. He’s a full go.
Feed Zeke
Feed the Beast was canceled by AMC, but it alive in well in Dallas with Ezekiel Elliott. Look for the Cowboys to do what they have been doing the last few weeks against some of the most established defensive lines in the league. The Cowboys offensive line has been taking the will of defenses, and look for more of the same Sunday Night. Ron Leary is probably being overlooked, but his mauling people in the running game, and this mauling has been ravenous amongst the rest of the offensive line. They are big, physical, and athletic.
How many rushing yards will Zeke have against the Eagles? #CowboysNation #DallasCowboys #PHIvsDAL #SNF #EzekielElliott

A Signature Sean Lee Game
Lee is leading the Cowboys with tackles and he typically been a player that just gets better each game, it’s coming – Lee is due for another signature game. I’m looking for Lee to be all over the field and involved in creating a turnover in this game. Carson Wentz bread and butter has been in shorter routes and this falls within Lee’s best area of work. Who will win that battle? My money is on the wiley vet.
Throw Up Some Yards
Dez Bryant should be a go for this game, and just his presence on the field will open up the passing game in the medium ranges and that means Cole Beasley. Dak Prescott has gotten the ball down the field with each subsequent game, and I expect more of the same against the Eagles, especially if the pass protection holds up, which I believe will. If the Cowboys can get some yards and a few splash plays from Brice Butler and Terrance Williams the offense will be humming.
Let’s go Dallas!
