Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant didn’t want to know the results of an MRI…so he skipped it.
Head coach Jason Garrett confirmed the news Thursday, revealing Bryant skipped an MRI, a treatment and team meeting and got fined for his evasive behavior.
The Dallas News‘ Jon Machota captured the quotes:
Jason Garrett on Dez Bryant: “He’s a very, very passionate person. He’s an emotional person. He didn’t handle it the right way.”

Apparently Bryant thought the results of the MRI would be worse than a hairline fracture so he skipped things pertaining to it. It’s a hairline fracture and Bryant could miss up to three weeks, but now Bryant sits in the dog house for ducking the meetings.
Look, Bryant didn’t want to find out how bad the issue was. Fine. But he was going to get the test one way or another and showcasing his passion by avoiding the proper channels was silly.
Now Bryant can trumpet his passion by tackling the good news (it could have been much worse, clearly) with a serious approach to rehab and getting back on the field as soon as possible.
