1st_place_ribbon__94822-1311693785-1280-1280  1. Cedric Doumbe: Usurped Nieky Holzken’s stronghold on the Glory welterweight title and became the first French Glory world champion.

2nd_place_ribbon__53794-1311693864-1280-1280  2. Jermall Charlo: Defended his IBF World Junior Middleweight Title with authority. We knew this had the potential to be a fireworks show, and it was that, with Charlo putting Williams down three times inside of five rounds en route to a KO.

3rd_place_ribbon__57259-1311694401-1280-1280  3. Joseph Parker: The wait is over, Parker is a world heavyweight champion. Andy Ruiz Jr. showed he’s more than a can-crusher, and put on a hell of a performance, but Parker edged him to get the old. Ruiz proved that he’s future world championship material, however.

4th_place_ribbon__85639-1311694476-1280-1280  4. Max Holloway: He very well could be the best featherweight in the world right now. His hand speed in finishing Anthony Pettis was otherworldly.

5th_place_ribbon__44932-1311694534-1280-1280  5. Tiffany Van Soest: Time Bomb is now hopefully getting the worldwide recognition and acclaim she deserves, holding Glory gold as their first women’s champion.

6. Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong: He sure does make it interesting, doesn’t he? Another title fight, another split-decision for the Glory lightweight champ.

7. Dylan Salvador: Next in line for a shot at Mr. Split Decision himself following a lightweight contender tournament victory.

8. Roberto Abreu: Cyborg won Grappling Pro 2’s heavyweight tournament featuring some legends of the sport, and won all three matches by submission, earning a cool $10k prize.

9. Alexander Stetsurenko: Won Kunlun Fight’s 80kg tournament at Kunlun Fight 55.

10. Terence Crawford: I mean, he can’t help who he fights, but, as annoying people say, it is what it is.

11. Anthony Joshua: Eric Molina belonged nowhere near a world title shot, and Joshua took care of business early.

12. Kelvin Gastelum: Beat Tim Kennedy from pillar to post and hopefully doesn’t try any more welterweight nonsense.

13. Jon Jones: It’s the fight we never got in the UFC, but we got to see it on the mat, in which Jon Jones defeated Dan Henderson by submission in the main event of Chael Sonnen’s awesome Submission Underground.

14. Derrick Lewis: The Black Beast main evented his first UFC card, and showed he can go into the title rounds and maintain his monumental power with a fourth-round TKO.

15. Francis Nagannou: That’s his fourth finish in the UFC, and the first over a legit opponent. In a shitty division, he’s due for a big name for his next fight.

Honorable Mention:

Jordan Johnson: In the last-ever RFA fight, Johnson claimed the RFA Light Heavyweight Championship. What that means going forward is anyone’s guess, but an accomplishment nonetheless.

Ed Ruth: On just seven days notice, the former NCAA Champion wrestler stepped up, went to a foreign country, and took care of business with a stoppage. Not too freaking bad.

Viviane Pereira: On short-notice, the virtual unknown took advantage of a plodding former world title challenger in Valerie Letourneau, and pull off a huge upset for her first UFC win.
