Cyborg left one relationship, why not reunite with another one? At one point promoting her under the Strikeforce banner, Bellator CEO Scott Coker would have no problem picking up what is considered to be the hottest free agent in MMA today.

“That’s great news. I’ll be calling (Cyborg’s manager) Audie (Attar) in the next five minutes,” Coker told MMA Junkie following the news of the release. All he was waiting for was the actual release of Cyborg before looking to woo her into the Bellator family.

One of the premier matchups to make is Cyborg v. Julia Budd. The current Bellator Featherweight Champion stated to MMA Fighting that she is ready for Cyborg if she was to make the move to Bellator. With fighters like Leslie Smith and Amanda Bell, Bellator has started to create a buzz in the division dominated by Budd.

What about money? With DAZN backing Bellator, the price for Cyborg wouldn’t have to be a worry. Almost like WCW and WWE in the ’90s, this move could help Bellator in the long run.
