PFL
In just its second season, the Professional Fighters League has proven to be a massive success amongst fans looking for an incentive to watch fighters go to war against one another. Fighting for $1 million, any competitor will creatively do whatever it takes to be on top of the mountain.
The PFL appears to be the most logical choice for Cyborg. With all of her arguments against fighting in the UFC, the PFL has proven to be a fair organization that accommodates all aspects of the fight game. Add the fact that the PFL has already formed a lightweight division filled with female talent, with more divisions on the way, and you have a match made in heaven.
While the women’s division is not stacked compared to most organizations, think of the buzz adding Cyborg would give to the PFL. With Sarah Kaufman and Kayla Harrison leading the charge, bringing in Cyborg would provide the PFL an added boost of exposure for its women’s division. While not as experienced as Cyborg, fans and Harrison herself have been craving for a matchup against the former Strikeforce and UFC Featherweight Champion.
The only thing that would hold a deal back would be the network the PFL works with. ESPN holds all the cards, and they aren’t the only MMA organization in a relationship with the Worldwide Leader. With the UFC manning a majority of ESPN’s MMA coverage, one can imagine Uncle Dana not being happy about this potential union.
