Penguins vs. Wild

PPG Paints Arena – Pittsburgh, PA

7:00PM Eastern – AT&TSN | FSWI | NHL.com

The Penguins look to sweep a back-to-back as they head back to Pittsburgh to play host to the Wild in a Thursday night matchup.

The Penguins outlasted the Piss Drinker and the Capitals on Wednesday night in a, dare we say, gritty victory.

Quick turnaround here, but Garrett Wilson was shipped back down to Wilkes-Barre, so that likely means Domenik Simon slots back in to potentially re-form the Electric Boogaloo II line. Bryan Rust has been hot of late, so the Penguins will probably maintain this workflow but look for Simon to potentially grab some shifts with Sid and Bake.

Jamie Oleksiak was injured in the fight with Tom Wilson and will not be available tonight.

Guentzel – Crosby – Rust

Aston-Reese – Malkin – Kessel

Pearson – Brassard – Hornqvist

Sheahan – Cullen – Simon

Letang – Dumoulin

The Smith

The Wild are in the midst of a funk, having lost 7 of their last 10. Mikael Granlund leads the squad with 11G and 22A for 33 points, while Zach Parise has posted a team-best 15 goals on the year.

The Wild boast one of the best power plays in the league, 7th on the man advantage with a 24.3% success rate. They’re second best on the kill (85.7%), behind only Arizona.
