High School Football is in full swing and here are our Top 100 Public School Rankings

Buford High School in Georgia kicks off the High School Football America 100 Preseason Public High School football rankings at number one. The Wolves have been a powerhouse in Georgia for two decades, boasting an impressive 14 state titles, with 13 of them earned since 2001. Buford’s dominance has spanned multiple classifications as the school grew in size.

On a national level, Buford enters the season ranked seventh in the preseason national rankings. Last year, they reached a high of second place nationally but were eliminated in the second round of the 7A state playoffs.

Georgia is well-represented in the preseason public rankings, with sixteen teams making the list. Meanwhile, Texas leads the way with 18 public schools in the Top 100, headlined by reigning Class 6A Division I champions, Duncanville.

Last year’s top public school, Miami Central in Florida, starts this season at number three in the public schools Top 100. Florida features 13 teams in the HSFA 100 public school rankings.
