Kawhi Leonard returned to AT&T Center for the first time since being traded to the Raptors on Thursday night, and unlike teammate Danny Green, he didn’t exactly receive a warm reception from fans.
In fact, quite the opposite happened.
Leonard was booed mercilessly by Spurs fans (watch here), while Green drew plenty of cheers. And, for some reason, Nuggets guard Isaiah Thomas took to Twitter to put Spurs fans on blast for doing so.
That man won a championship for y’all and u boo him?? That ain’t it!

Take the “fan” hat off for once and put the “player” hat on and see if you will still boo a player…

Let us come to your job and BOO you for 2hrs for you looking out for YOURSELF when teams time after time do what’s best for THEM!

Thomas hasn’t even played so far this season, as he’s been sidelined with a nagging hip injury, but he’s apparently trying to stay relevant — by criticizing fans of other teams.
