Browns head coach Hue Jackson essentially shot down the idea of his players kneeling during the national anthem last week, but they didn’t see to care.
Monday night’s preseason game against the Giants was televised nationally, so that seemed like the perfect time for them to make a statement. And sure enough, they did.
Eleven Browns players took a knee during the national anthem, and it was hard to keep track of them all. Among them were Jamie Collins, Isaiah Crowell, Jabrill Peppers, Calvin Pryor, Duke Johnson, Terrence Magee, Seth DeValve, Jamar Taylor, Ricardo Louis, Kenny Britt and Chris Kirksey.

Looks like this gesture isn’t going away anytime soon.
