Joe Flacco once led the Ravens to a Super Bowl victory, but things have changed drastically since then, as it’s actually possible that he’s played his final game with the team.
It’s quite clear that Lamar Jackson is the Ravens quarterback of both the present and future, as he’s 6-1 as a starter, with his only loss coming in Kansas City — in a game Baltimore nearly won.
For now, Flacco sits as Jackson’s backup, with his offseason departure appearing imminent, and he doesn’t appear happy about the situation.
“I don’t know if it’s going to be any more different or not,” Flacco said, via ESPN’s Jamison Hensley. “It’s definitely not the most fun position in the world. It is what it is.”
Flacco also addressed the possibility of the team moving on from him in the future.
“I haven’t really thought too much about it, to be honest with you. It is what it is,” Flacco said. “We’re a No. 4 seed. There’s always a possibility that in the final round before the Super Bowl you can come back here. So you never know.”
To his credit, Flacco will likely have a number of suitors vying for his services in the offseason, with the Jaguars, Redskins and Dolphins among them.
