The Sixers and Warriors are set to square off on Saturday night, which means Joel Embiid and Draymond Green will battle it out on the court for the first time in their respective careers.
Both players are known for their defensive prowess, but moreso, their ability to talk trash and get in their opponents’ heads.
Embiid revealed that the two players had dinner together over the summer and swapped numbers. He also shared what he told Green that night in speaking to reporters on Friday.
“I mean, I saw Draymond this summer and I told him I was gonna kick his a–, so I can’t wait to play against him,” Embiid said. “I love the way he talks trash, and I feel like I’m kind of the same so it’s gonna be a fun battle, especially going against Steph, Klay, KD, I still haven’t played against them, so I’m excited.”

Fans now have another reason to tune in to Saturday’s game, as Embiid and Green squaring off on the court figures to be must-see TV.
The best thing about the matchup is that both players will likely leave it all on the floor. When it’s all said and done, they’ll shake hands and go on with their lives, as they both seem to have a great deal of respect for one another.
With that said, let the trash talking begin!
