One of the worst calls you’ll see by officials this season took place during Thursday’s Rockets-Warriors game at Oracle Arena, and it’s hard to understand how the refs missed it.
It was a huge moment in the game, that could possibly have playoff implications down the line, given that it involved two of the best teams in the Western Conference.
The play in question happened with the game tied at 132, when Kevin Durant tried to save a ball that was headed out of bounds. The problem was that Durant took a few steps out of bounds before doing so, yet then threw the ball back into play, which allowed Stephen Curry to drain a jumper that could’ve been the game-winner.

Luckily for the Rockets, they have James Harden, and he drained a ridiculous three-pointer to lift the team to victory. As for KD, he wasn’t surprised officials blew the call, saying that the refs were “missing a lot tonight.”
Kevin Durant knew he was way out of bounds on that late save, wasn’t surprised the call was missed: “The refs were missing a lot tonight.” pic.twitter.com/Ey0uJ7d42O

It’s tough to understand how the refs could’ve missed a call that blatantly obvious.
