Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins and his team went into Arrowhead Stadium to take on the undefeated Chiefs on Monday night, and it was the type of game you’d expect.
It was competitive throughout — with no team having more than a 10-point lead at any point — with plenty of hard hits, entertaining moments and clutch throws. The Chiefs emerged victorious, 29-20, thanks to a near-flawless game from Alex Smith, and an equally good performance by 22-year-old rookie kicker Harrison Butker.
A funny moment happened before the game, though, during the national anthem. And no, it didn’t involve kneeling (thankfully). Fans did what they usually do, adding “Chiefs” at the end of the “and the home of the … ” part of the anthem. They were quite loud in yelling it, and could be heard through TV sets. Cousins thought it was pretty funny, and reacted as such when it happened.

Arrowhead is one helluva place for a game — what a crowd.
