It’s become a common trend among sports fans to burn jerseys of recently-departed players and post the video of it on social media.
Well, it seems LeBron James is not a fan of that strategy — not at all.
Thursday seemed like the perfect time to sound off about it, being that fans have been burning Kyrie Irving’s jersey, and it also recently happened among Jazz fans with Gordon Hayward having departed for Boston.
Here’s what James had to say about it.

This was James’ way of defending Irving, as he seems to have an understanding for why Kyrie chose to leave.
And back to his original message: LBJ does have a point here. Cavs fans were quick to burn his jersey in 2010, but they welcomed him back with open arms in 2014.
