With the additions of Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward, the Celtics are looking to be a more athletic team in the 2017-18 season.
Swingman Marcus Smart took note of that, and he hired a chef to help change his diet so he could she 20 pounds, according to Ricky Doyle of NESN. Smart cut out fried foods and adjusted what he eats to more of a Mediterranean diet, and it’s worked.
Check out this photo of him from the Celtics’ Media Day, which took place Monday.

Smart noted that he wanted to be more athletic, which could help him late in games, so he was smart to go the nutrition route.
