Giants fans held their breath when they saw superstar receiver Odell Beckham Jr. take a low hit in Monday night’s preseason game against the Browns.

OBJ didn’t try really try to extend the play or push himself too hard in the exhibition matchup, and the injury could’ve happened to anyone, given the nature of the hit.

It happened in the second quarter of the game, when he went up and caught a pass. As he came down, though, Browns safety Briean Boddy-Calhoun hit him in the leg with his helmet, and OBJ landed awkwardly.

He was seen limping on his way to the locker room and actually fell to his knees just moments after it happened.

He did jog to the locker room after the game ended, though.

Right now, the status is that it’s some sort of ankle injury, but we’ll have to see what Giants head coach Ben McAdoo says about the injury.
