6. Deshaun Watson – Houston Texans
Words cannot explain how good of a quarterback Deshaun Watson has been since he stepped on an NFL field as a rookie in 2017.
Despite missing the last part of his rookie season due to a torn ACL, the former Clemson signal-caller completed 61.8-percent of his passes for 1,699 yards, 19 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He also had 269 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
With that being said, things did not get easier for the 23-year-old Watson last season.
The Texans’ offense not only lost wide receivers Will Fuller and Demaryius Thomas to season-ending injuries. But they also failed to protect their franchise quarterback, who was sacked an enormous 62 times.
Despite those obstacles, Watson had a breakout season, completing a career-high 68.3-percent of his passes for 4,165 yards, 26 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. He also added 551 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
